Overview
To ensure consistent vertical and horizontal alignment of educational standards, Frenship ISD Social Studies classes will...
-
implement a curriculum of common terminology, skills, and student expectations
-
foster development of personal accountability
-
construct understanding and awareness of broader social and cultural issues so that all CISD students will learn to conceptualize and connect ideas and apply thinking and reasoning skills as they become productive, active citizens in a global society.
Guiding Principles
-
Social studies instruction should be relevant and meaningful.
-
Social studies instruction should involve active participation, so students will acquire the ability and desire to become fully engaged in the activities of society.
-
